Chris began writing music in the early 90's. His craft was developed by writing about things that had purpose: the up's and down's of life, love, heartbreak, and just sitting back having a good time. Chris began writing music in the early 90's. His craft was developed by writing about things that had purpose: the up's and down's of life, love, heartbreak, and just sitting back having a good time. Some of the best topics, come from his daily life. The song, "Your Turn To Cry" was written after he went through a divorce. The song, "The Man I Am" is about all the hard times that he went through, that eventually made him a better person in the end. He has a clever way of putting twists into his lyrics. You think he means one thing, but it means another. But, it actually means both. The newest additions to his portfolio of songs will come out in 2024. It will be a 20 song album featuring 5 brand new songs, and 15 songs from his previous 3 albums. The first single is "Jose, Jack, & Jim"

“Chris Himel is a songwriter who can paint a picture with words and music, as a musician Chris is exceptional and as a singer can convey the words to the audience to make them listen. Chris has a talent for painting with words and music I wish I could attain. Furthermore, as a friend Chris has always been true to his convictions, something that is a bit old school in a new

normal society. His passion is something that we share, a passion for entertaining and sharing.

“There's no one else that sings with more passion than Chris Himel. There's no one else that can tell a better story with the lyrics that he writes than Chris. You see his live show once and you'll continue coming back for more.  I am one of his biggest fans and I have been one for many years".
